Historian & NGO Founder

I was born on the 18th of July 1983. Having been raised in Mthatha, in the Eastern Cape, I later moved to Cape Town in a township called Langa, the oldest black township in the country. Being exposed to all the hardships that the people in my community face everyday, along with my background in Entrepreneurship and Tourism, led me to start my own ventures to such as the Happy Feet Youth Project. My newest venture is the iThuba Innovation Hub in Langa. Its mission is to engage the community in future technologies, innovative problem solving and introduce STEM programs to the youth. Currently, we have more than 150 young people who directly benefit from programs such as Dance, Robotics, Healthy Eating, Maths and English! We are constantly shaping and current and future leaders that will contribute positively to the world!

Iā€™m a warm and welcoming local guide and historian with deep knowledge of the history of our country, combined with deep personal experiences. I was born during apartheid and grew up in a free democratic South Africa. I have a firsthand understanding of the cultural, social and the political landscape of South Africa. My work in my community is influenced and guided by principles established by these two legends, which is why my two organisations are all about human upliftment.
